Supplier of choice to SANBI
The Karoo Desert Botanical Gardens in Worcester is currently undergoing a renovation. Part of this renovation is the inclusion of new paving. The park lies at the foot of the Hex River Mountain and is home to many indigenous plant species and wildlife. In keeping with the surrounds, paving forms a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic nature of the park while providing a maintenance free surface for paths and walkways. C.E.L. Paving Products is once again the supplier of choice with their exposed aggregate paving range.
Our history with National Botanical Gardens.
Sandstone and Granite make the core of the rock formation which is the platform to the infamous botanical gardens. On designing the new car park at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, once again C.E.L. Paving Products was the supplier of choice when it comes to concrete block paving. For this project, we were charged with producing a product that was very much in keeping the the local rock formations while being extremely hard wearing. The result was our Interlocker paver, 70mm thick, with a Coarse Exposed Aggregate topping. The colour was specifically manipulated to show the nuances of granite and sandstone and is now referred to as the Kirstenbosch colour.

Daily , the parking area is subjected to high bus traffic and millions of visitors each year. The same product was requested for the Karoo Desert Botanical Garden, but in this instance in a 50mm thick 200 x 100mm bond paver.
