Donation of concrete block paving to local school
In October of last year we were approached by Dennemere Primary School with a request to assist them with a donation of concrete block paving.
The school, which services the area of Blackheath in Cape Town, was experiencing problems with their playgrounds. The sand in the playgrounds was blowing into the classrooms, finding its way in to the children”s food and books.
Karoo Pavers Transforms Playground
C.E.L. Paving Products, aware of the necessity for decent surroundings for the scholars, donated several pallets of concrete block paving for the playground. The reject Karoo shaped pavers, in a combination of tan and charcoal colours, had slight flaws, but were perfect for the requirements at the school. The playground now boasts a slick paved area with seating in the shade.
On visiting the school recently, C.E.L.’s Gill Ritchie met with Mr Prinsloo to check out the area with the newly laid concrete block pavers. The principal, staff and pupils were extremely thankful of the donation and expressed their appreciation by showing Gill around the school.
