C.EL. Paving’s popular Maxi Cobble concrete paving block
New Product application at St Johns Catholic Church Maitland
C.EL. Paving introduced the new Maxi Cobble concrete paving block, to the industry in 2023. The Maxi Cobble, 150x150x50mm, replaces the previously popular Karoo paver, which had the same format. The new Maxi Cobble offers cleaner lines with a solid coloured topping and texture. The large format cobble, available in Grey, Charcoal and Tan, offers a whole new dimension when it comes to cobbles.

Entrance Paving with the Maxi Cobble
Shortly after launching the concrete block paver, we were required to supply the Maxi Cobble paving in Grey and Charcoal, to the St Johns Catholic Church in Maitland, Cape Town. One of our reputable civil contractors laid the paving to the walkways and at the entrance to the church. The entrance to the church, itself, is a lovely landscaped area which was complemented by the Grey Maxi cobble with its Charcoal Maxi Cobble border.
The walkways to the rooms and offices were also paved with the Maxi Cobble. However, for this area, the client went for Charcoal as the main colour with the borders in Grey. The sleek looking, precise Maxi Cobble pavers framed the covered corridors perfectly. These low maintenance elegant cobbles offer a range of solutions for walkways and parking areas in residential and commercial applications.
Pretty and Tough
The Maxi Cobble is not only elegant looking but is made in a dry cast process which ensures it is manufactured to the toughest industry standards. For more on industry standards click here.

Request samples of the colours you are considering, as in certain cases, colours shown in brochures or websites are not a true reflection of the actual paver. Because concrete block paving is a mix of cement, sand and aggregates, which are mined , the paver may change in character and colour.
