C.E.L. Paving as a local manufacturer of concrete block paving, were approached by the Cape Academy for Maths, Science and Technology, to assist with some paving. C.EL. Paving offered to donate their Metro paving blocks to the quad area outside the main entrance. The area, being a popular meeting point for students, was a sandy unpaved spot which was not ideal for the young scholars.
The project involved resurfacing the hang out spot with their 200x100x50mm paver in a charcoal colour. In addition to the charcoal paving, the CAMST name was embedded in to the new paved area using the C.E.L. Shimmerstone paver. C.E.L. Paving also arranged one of their approved installers to do the installation, and the result was a fantastic one.
The transformation was remarkable. Students now enjoy a much-improved meeting area with a new, covered paved seating space. Parents and staff appreciate the improved access and aesthetics and the name of the school inset for future generations to enjoy.
